The Snapdragon chips are changing the way we compute and the devices companies make, and they are changing the way companies compete for Microsoft; that could change in just a few short months, starting this spring. Our friends at Windows Central have gotten word that the new device will be smaller, lighter, and more portable, which is likely an attempt by Microsoft to compete with Apple’s smaller iPad.
These devices are supposed to be similar in feature set and design to the larger version. If they are indeed meant to compete with the iPad, you can expect a high-refresh-rate screen, pen input, and a detachable keyboard and mouse.
