Alienware has focused on the one thing competitive gamers need most: sound. Today, they are doing that with the launch of the Alienware Pro Headset, developed in collaboration with Team Liquid. Here are some of the headset’s key features.
- 50mm Graphene Coated Drivers: Superior directional audio.
- Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Blocks external noise.
- Two-mic Noise Cancellation: Ensures clear voice communication.
- Soft Memory-Foam Leatherette Earcups: Enhanced comfort and sound isolation
Alienware’s focus is to be the gold standard of gaming audio, and that starts with the 50mm Graphene-Coated Drivers in each earcup. They are purposely weighted to produce a precise sound that is clear, natural, and full of depth. The Pro headset also features true Active Noise Cancellation to ensure nothing from the outside world interrupts your intense gaming sessions. The idea is to give the gamer full 360-degree directional audio, critical in FPS shooters, allowing you to “see and feel” the enemy before you do.

It is equipped with high-resolution certification via USB-C, which allows you to hear subtle queues and details when listening to music between gaming sessions. Alienware didn’t stop with just what you hear; professional gamers also need a high-quality microphone. Anything outside of a gamer’s voice can be a distraction for those competitive sessions. The integrated two-mic system detects and eliminates background noise while enhancing your voice. The headset has been AI-trained, allowing it to distinguish between conversation and other audible sounds in the environment, such as a dog barking.
The headset is minimalistic and focused on comfort. It uses soft memory foam earcups with a deep design to fit a wide range of head and ear sizes. This headset blends it more than previous Alienware offerings. You can detach the microphone to enjoy Bluetooth connectivity if you’re headed out. Low latency mode reduces Bluetooth lag to just 80ms. Battery life is dependent upon which mode you are using the headset in. You’ll get about 70 hours over 2.4 GHz with noise cancelation off, 35 hours with ANC on, and 75 hours over Bluetooth with ANC off.
You can control the headset features through Alienware Command Center version 6.4 to set up specific game profiles, Macro lighting, and more. You can also toggle your ANC on and off, use battery-saver mode, and tune up noise cancelation.
The Alienware Pro Headset is available in October and retails in North America for $229.99.
