Apple updates the iPad Air again with a new Magic Keyboard

Apple is making sure to keep an updated iPad Air on the market and in your hands. The iPad Air is getting an update today to the new M3 chip which is you guessed it, about double the performance of the former M1 variant. Leaving the A14 chip from a few years ago in the dust.

The M3 chip upgrade brings the ray tracing features to the iPad Air, and the neural engine is about 50 percent faster than in previous versions. This opens the door for services like Apple Intelligence to be available on the iPad Air. Despite some tariffs on tech components, the price remains the same for the M3 version as in previous versions. You’ll pay $599 for the 11-inch version and $799 for the 13-inch version. Preorders will begin today, and deliveries will start next week.

You’ll likely need the Magic Keyboard to utilize your iPad fully. The new Magic Keyboard has a larger trackpad and a new function row. For the 11-inch magic keyboard you’re looking at $269 and the 13-inch version is $319.
