At CES 2025, Lenovo introduced a slew of AI-powered business solutions designed to revolutionize the modern workplace. Key highlights include the boldly redesigned Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Editions, the innovative ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 with a rollable display, and the latest commercial desktops, such as the high-performance ThinkCentre M90a Pro Gen 6 and the groundbreaking ThinkCentre neo 50q QC powered by Snapdragon. Lenovo also unveiled its next-generation ThinkVision P Series monitors and a comprehensive ecosystem of smart accessories, all engineered to enhance productivity and connectivity. Additionally, Lenovo showcased cutting-edge proof-of-concept innovations that it believes will push the boundaries of technology, offering a glimpse into the future of an AI-led productivity wave.
ThinkPad X9 Series: Revolutionary Design Meets Pro-Level Performance
Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X9 14 and X9 15 Aura Editions. Lenovo’s Aura Edition PCs have been a breath of fresh air that stands between its battery efficient flagship Qualcomm powered devices and its traditional Intel powerhouses.
These Copilot+ PCs are still powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors but leverage a cutting-edge experimental architecture that’s successfully balanced power, heat, and efficiency with AI-enhanced devices for creative professionals that combine powerful and efficient Intel and Windows 11 platforms with personalized AI-enabled experiences in an all-new progressive design.
The ThinkPad X9 Series features a new contemporary design, shedding the all black or silver boxey designes from yesteryear and blends its Yoga line innovations into the ThinkPad lineup. The X9 Series covers are said to be crafted from 50% recycled aluminum, the X9 14 and X9 15 models exhibit a sleek and slim profile that’s not only visually striking but also features a stylish metal grooved bottom cover.
Fortunately, the new X9 designs don’t seem to come at cost to the MIL-SPEC industrial craftsmanships. Like all ThinkPad laptops, the X9s are said to be highly durable, having been tested for MIL-SPEC 810H standards, and engineered to withstand the demands of everyday professional use by Lenovo.
This meticulous design includes a unique “engine hub,” a streamlined housing for critical components and connections that optimizes cooling and performance, allowing for extended productivity without sacrificing the device’s slim form factor.
Lenovo has featured a similar hardware centric focus design with its multi component magnetic hub that allows users to attach webcams, lights and speakers.
Every aspect of the ThinkPad X9 series reflects Lenovo’s new focus on enhancing user experiences. The new “engine hub” design incorporates Thunderbolt ports on both sides, facilitating versatile connections to docks, monitors, and other USB-C® accessories.
Lenovo is hoping that the simplicity of this new hub enhances serviceability with quick and easy access through the D cover for repair of the battery or SSD. Lenovo has also redesigned its keyboard deck to combine ThinkPad’s renowned typing comfort with a modern touch while also offering precise tactile feel. The new keyboard deck also incorporates a large haptic touchpad that provides responsive feedback for seamless navigation.
I’ve been begging for about four years for Lenovo to bring over its haptic trackpad to the ThinkPad lineup and here we are, finally!
Another thing about the ThinkPad X9 is that it includes a communication bar that integrates an 8MP high-definition MIPI camera with a smartphone-quality sensor for low-light situations, plus dual noise-canceling microphones into a unified, stylish frame while keeping the bezels as narrow as possible.
This design optimizes top-tier video call quality while showcasing a vivid OLED display ttraditionally reproduce stunning colors and deep blacks, in both touch or non-touch options.
Perfectly Engineered for Pioneering Innovators
With its thin profile, powerful Intel Core Ultra processors, high-capacity battery, and robust connectivity (including Thunderbolt™ 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, and Intel Wi-Fi 7), Lenovo is aiming its ThinkPad X9 series for seamless transitions from creative tasks to business-critical operations. The ellusive prosumer market is being aimed with the X9 for tasks that include everything from content creation to heavy data applications, without sacrificing portability or design.
It’s feeling like the X9 may supplant the X1 Carbon as the ThinkPad’s flagship laptop going forward.
Lenovo AI Now: Personalized AI Redefined
Lenovo has taken the AI experience to the next level with Lenovo AI Now, an advanced on-device AI assistant that brings powerful, real-time intelligence to users.

ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable: A Rollable AI-Enhanced PC for the Modern Professional
Lenovo rolled out aother jaw-dropper at CES this year with its ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, the world’s first rollable display AI PC, developed in cooperation with Lenovo Research.
We’ve seen smartphone companies play around with rollable screens but now we’re seeing it in laptops, for better or for worse. Transitioning from a groundbreaking proof of concept to a fully realized product, this innovative device demonstrates Lenovo’s ability to turn forward-thinking concepts into practical, high-performance solutions for business professionals.
I’m not sure I fully buy the marketing speak from Lenovo that states ‘the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable AI PC is designed to redefine productivity and multitasking with its unique rollable display technology,’ but it does at least offer something new in the space.
This new rolling laptop vertically expands from a compact 14-inch display to a generous 16.7 inches with a simple press of a dedicated key or through hand gestures to the camera, users gain nearly 50% additional screen space in a portable form factor.
I suppose this makes it ideal for business users who need flexibility and efficiency on the go. This rollable feature allows prosumers to adapt the screen size based on task demands, from document editing to data analysis and presentations, all while maintaining an ultra-slim 14-inch laptop footprint with a 19.9mm profile and weighing just 1.7kg.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable combines the portability of a traditional laptop with the expanded workspace of a larger device. Its proprietary ThinkBook Workspace feature enhances user experience by enabling split-screen functionality and providing dedicated widgets for easy access to frequently used apps and tools. With a unique vertical laptop screen experience, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 also encourages better posture, reducing strain for professionals working long hours.
This Copilot+ PC is built with AI-enabled features like Lenovo AI Now and Microsoft’s Windows Cocreator from Paint to unleash user productivity and creativity. The laptop leverages the same on-device intelligence and cloud capabilities as the flagship ThinkPad X9.
With its rollable screen, the device offers an extended vertical display ideal for applications such as document review, coding, project management, and content creation. Professionals in creative fields and technical roles will appreciate the split-screen functionality that supports multiple window layouts without sacrificing screen space. This adaptable display solution includes virtual display technology, allowing users to create a second virtual display which can be uniquely shared in meetings, reducing the need for external monitors, making the device a practical choice for those who prioritize both portability and efficiency.
Under the hood, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors with Intel Arc graphics and robust connectivity options including Thunderbolt 4 and Intel® Wi-Fi 7 (5 Gig). The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 also includes an edge-to-edge keyboard, a 120Hz OLED display with 400 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy.

The ThinkCentre neo 50q QC is a tiny desktop that combines a minimalistic design with innovative AI-driven technology. This 1-liter chassis features Snapdragon X or Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processors and Copilot+ PC-enabled features, bringing AI-driven workflows to tiny desktops. With up to 45 TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second) for AI processing, the ThinkCentre neo 50q QC provides superior multitasking and efficient data handling, making it ideal for SMBs that need robust performance in a small footprint.
The neo 50q QC offers multiple USB ports, HDMI, and DisplayPort options, allowing easy connectivity with peripherals and dual displays. The sleek, ultra-thin bezels provide a modern aesthetic and maximize screen space. With a variable refresh rate ranging from 24Hz to 120Hz, these monitors ensure smooth, vibrant visuals.

Lenovo’s proprietary advanced AI Power Solution dynamically adjusts backlighting and pixel intensity to optimize energy consumption without compromising image quality.
Lenovo’s Display Fleet Manager (LDFM) could be a game-changer for IT teams, enhancing remote manageability with rapid firmware updates and batch deployment capabilities. This translates to minimized downtime for end-users. There are also customizable OSD settings and more robust asset management features to help streamline IT tasks.

The series also offers daisy-chain capabilities for connecting up to four displays, and select ultrawide models feature True Split technology, allowing users to split their display into multiple virtual screens for enhanced multitasking.
Lenovo also announced several smart-accessories such as a self-charging bluetooth keyboard, the Lenovo QHD Webcam that comes with AI enhancements, the Lenovo 4K Pro webcam, the transofrming Lenovo AdaptX Mouse, proof of concept AI headphones.
