CES 2025: Samsung Introduces Galaxy Book5 Lineup with Cutting-Edge AI Features

Samsung revealed the global launch of the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360, expanding the Galaxy Book5 lineup to cater to a broader range of AI needs for all users. These state-of-the-art PCs come equipped with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors (Series 2) and NPUs that leverage up to 47 TOPs, seamlessly integrating Galaxy AI capabilities for a personalized experience across the Galaxy ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to make Galaxy AI and cutting-edge innovation accessible to more people than ever before, addressing their unique productivity needs on PC and other Galaxy devices,” said Changtae Kim, EVP & Head of New Computing R&D Team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “Alongside our trusted industry partners, we are delivering an AI experience on Galaxy Book that empowers users to work, create and connect in more intelligent ways through our growing ecosystem.”

The Galaxy Book5 series brings a seamless AI ecosystem workflow, boosting productivity and creativity with AI-powered, cross-device experiences. The inclusion of AI Select allows users to effortlessly search for information, mimicking the simplicity of smartphone searches but on a larger, more immersive display.

Samsung’s AI Select is a feature designed to streamline and enhance the way users search for information on their Galaxy Book5 series PCs. Here’s how it works:

  • Effortless Searching: With AI Select, users can easily search for content on the web, in documents, or within images by simply clicking on the AI Select icon. This feature allows for quick retrieval of relevant search results without interrupting your workflow.
  • Seamless Integration: AI Select is integrated directly into the Galaxy Book5 series, providing a similar search experience to what users are familiar with on their Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
  • Enhanced Productivity: By making it easier to find information quickly, AI Select helps boost productivity, whether you’re browsing the web, shopping online, or viewing content.

As Samsung puts it, AI Select brings the convenience and efficiency of smartphone searches to a larger, more immersive PC operating system, making it easier to find what you need, when you need it.

Other noteworthy features include:

  • Photo Remaster: Enhance and retouch blurry photos using advanced NPU-driven AI solutions.
  • Microsoft Phone Link: Expand Galaxy AI access native to Galaxy mobile devices, boosting productivity on a larger PC screen.
  • Nearby Devices: Centralize your connected experience, launching or changing settings for Galaxy devices around you.
  • Storage Share: Access files from connected devices directly, using your phone, tab, and PC as one unified device.
  • Multi Control: Navigate menus, access files, and copy/paste content seamlessly across Samsung devices.
  • Second Screen: Turn your Galaxy Tab into a secondary screen for your PC with a simple click.
  • Quick Share: Effortlessly share pictures, documents, and large files between Galaxy devices, with secure private sharing.

Designed for those with high-demand workflows, the thin and light Galaxy Book5 Pro is supposed to deliver powerful performance in a premium, ultra-portable design. The Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2), with an NPU capable of up to 47 TOPs, enable users to complete AI-intensive tasks at incredible speed.

As a refresher, the Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) were announced just before the start of CES. Intel Core Ultra processors are the latest from Intel, featuring integrated Neural Processing Units (NPUs) with up to 99 TOPS for enhanced AI capabilities. They offer up to 41% better multi-thread performance and improved power efficiency, making them ideal for demanding tasks. These processors also include advanced graphics and built-in security features, providing a powerful, efficient, and secure computing experience.

  • Up to 25-hour battery life on the Galaxy Book5 Pro 16” for continuous connectivity.
