Since entering the North American market in 2014, TCL has revolutionized consumer electronics by proving technology does not have to be costly. The brand introduced the world’s first big-screen Quantum Dot TV and Mini LED TV, and developed its own powerful TCL AiPQ Processor. The 2025 lineup, starting with the QM6K, reinforces TCL’s leadership with new models in a phased series launch strategy.
TCL’s award-winning QD-Mini LED models, including the world’s first Mini LED TV in 2016, are developed at the Pangu Lab, the world’s first full-process Mini LED development center. The lab’s experts perform all stages of Mini LED backlight development, from concept and R&D to design and materials, component creation, and full system trial production. For 2025, the Pangu Lab has made significant leaps in QD-Mini LED picture quality.
The new Super High Energy LED Chip increases brightness output by more than 53%, while also boosting light efficiency by 10%. The Condensed Micro Lens, an upgraded version of the 2024 UWA Dual Arch Lens, uses specially formulated optical materials for enhanced stability and precise light control. The redesigned backlight system, TCL Micro OD, virtually eliminates any halo effect, creating clear, sharp edges between the brightest whites and darkest blacks.
TCL’s enhanced QD-Mini LED backlight technology works with a high contrast CSOT HVA Panel, providing up to 7,000:1 static contrast, which is up to 5X better than competitors. The new Quantum Dot Technology with vibrant Quantum Crystals renders over one billion colors, with up to 98%+ of DCI-P3 color gamut, offering 100,000 high-quality viewing hours. A new Color Optimization Algorithm ensures rich color activation.
TCL has introduced several new processing advancements for 2025, including Zero-Delay Transient Response for virtually no lag between the input signal and backlight response, and a Bi-directional 23-bit Backlight Controller for granular control of over 65,000 levels of brightness for each LED. The new Dynamic Light Algorithm optimizes the incoming video signal, rendering SDR signals at near HDR level for consistently great picture quality.

TCL also unveils the new NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology, the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet, and the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G smartphone, marking significant advancements in enhancing visual clarity and comfort. TCL NXTPAPER 4.0 marks a significant advancement in display technology, focusing on user comfort and enhanced visual clarity. This latest release incorporates the sophisticated nano-matrix lithography technology, which improves display clarity and sharpness.
