Clipchamp gets a major iOS update

The iOS app for Microsoft Chimpchamp is all new. This major update is a complete design refresh with a new template editing experience alongside a full timeline editor with AI baked in. Some new features include templates for small businesses, using Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube shorts, all synced across the cloud.

Once you choose a template you can now easily swap out assets with just a tap from your camera roll. You can also adjust text, branding, and overlays to fit your needs. If you need a full video editor, that is now possible inside the new app. A new multitrack timeline is now possible with trending sticks, voiceovers, transitions, and effects. Here’s a full breakdown of the new features that are available.

  • Text to speech: turn text into lifelike AI voiceovers in any language.
  • Voiceover: record your own voice directly in the app.
  • Smart reframe: crop landscape footage into portrait while keeping the subject of your footage in focus.
  • Background music: new royalty-free audio tracks for background music.
  • Overlay content: an improved, royalty-free stock offering with video and images, trending stickers, and emojis.
  • New transitions: eye-catching scene transitions to add between clips.
  • Trending filters: add color filters to one clip or your entire video.
  • Video effects: add effects like light diffusion, cinematic, glitch, VHS, and more.

The refreshed design, template library, and new AI tools make creating top-notch videos easier on Apple devices. Make sure you grab the download in the App Store.
