Microsoft is reportedly giving its Edge browser a sleek new look, codenamed “Olympia,” and the whispers are all pointing to one thing: Copilot is taking over.
This rumored UI, first spotted by a reliable source (@Leopeva64), appears to be an interface built entirely around Copilot. The design is cleaner and more modern, featuring a centered address bar that’s smaller than the current one. This new “omnibox” seems to be heavily focused on search and chat, even including a prominent microphone icon for voice commands.

Other notable changes include a vertical list sidebar for tabs, accessible through a dropdown button, and a variation with horizontal tabs positioned below the address bar. The new design places the Copilot icon in the same location it holds in the current “Copilot Mode,” leading many to believe that this isn’t a full-scale redesign for the entire browser, but rather a dedicated, AI-centric interface.

The speculation is that this could be a new “Copilot Mode” in the browser, providing a distinct AI-focused experience that separates it from standard browsing. This would align with the current industry trend of integrating AI deeply into software to create “AI browsers” that offer more than just web browsing.
While this is all still in the rumor phase, it’s a clear signal of Microsoft’s doubling down on its AI investments by pushing Copilot as a core feature of its software ecosystem. If these leaks are accurate, the “Olympia” UI could represent a new step in making AI a central part of our daily web browsing.
