Windows Insiders are getting a real treat with the newly released Windows 11 bits. A new version of Copilot is bringing file search capabilities. You’ll be able to find and open files using Copilot and ask questions about the contents of the file. Don’t worry you can adjust the permissions to your liking to control the level of access Copilot is given. File search does support most filetypes, docx, xlsx, pptx, txt, PDF, and json.

Copilot Vision on Windows allows you to share the content of any app window or browser window with Copilot. Copilot can view the data in the window and help you analyze it or answer your questions while coaching you. To get started, click the glasses icon in your composer and select the browser window or app you want Copilot to examine. To stop sharing, press stop or the “x” in the composer.

The Copilot update is version 1.25034.133.0, which is beginning to roll out across the Insider Channel from the Microsoft Store. The Copilot Vision features are being rolled out in the United States, while the file search is being rolled out worldwide.
