Copilot for Gaming is coming to improve your gaming experience

We knew Copilot was going to be everywhere, right? We also knew it would eventually make its way to gaming. Today is the day we get the first word from Microsoft about that happening Fatmia Kardar, Xbox Vice President of Gaming AI sat down on The Official Xbox Podcast to talk about it.

Copilot for Gaming is coming directly to Xbox players to help you save time, find new games you’re likely to love and get back to those titles you may have stepped away from. On the podcast, Kardar introduced Copilot for Gaming, which those in the Xbox Insider Program will soon be able to test on mobile. It is designed to function like a personalized gaming companion by helping you find your favorite titles faster and get you through those sticky points in your games. It’ll also get out of the way if you don’t need it.

Copilot for Gaming is built on three basic principles: capability, adaptability, and personalization. From game setup to coaching to maintaining gaming connections, it keeps you, the player, in control. One of the main problems Copilot for gaming looks to solve is time management, meaning gamers spend less time downloading, updating, and researching and more time playing.

“It’s not just about AI showing up to help you, it’s about AI showing up at the right moment,” Kardar elaborated. “We really have to think about the experience we’ve built, it cannot be intrusive.”

Something exciting gamers can look forward to is in-game assistance, where Copilot can provide situational assistance. However, it must not be intrusive. Player feedback is important throughout this process, as it ensures that gamers get the exact experience they want.
