Developer_Direct kicked off the 2026 gaming announcements with a packed showcase highlighting major titles coming to Xbox this year. Playground Games, Game Freak, and Double Fine brought the goods with extended gameplay trailers and behind-the-scenes insights into their upcoming projects. Game Freak kicked things off with a deeper look into Beast of Reincarnation, an action RPG set in the haunting future of Japan. Players follow Emma, afflicted by a mysterious “blight” and love for her canine companion Koo, a fast-paced real-time combat with tactical slowed abilities creating a new system and style called “one person, one-dog, action RPG. It launches this summer and will be available day one on Game Pass.
Racing fans get ready for the next installment in the Forza Horizon series. Forza Horizon 6. This time, the series takes gamers to Japan in what is called the most vertical map yet.
