Evernote putting more limits on Free accounts

One of the first and very popular note-taking apps, Evernote is further crippling free accounts on December 4th. If you’re an Evernote user on the free tier, you’ll be limited to just 50 notes and one notebook. Evernote mentions this is the total number of notes you can have in one account. You can delete notes to stay under the 50-note limit.

Evernote says before imposing the limits that most users on the free tier were under the 50-note limit, so they believe most users will not be impacted. Evernote does mention that they understand for some this may make you choose to reevaluate your use of the product, though they encourage you to explore the subscription options.

Some of the highlights of a paid subscription include immediate note syncing across devices, intuitive AI features, quicker syncing when aligning to a single storage system, and two-factor authentication.

This isn’t good news for the current Evernote userbase, it might be a good time to migrate to Microsoft Loop or Microsoft OneNote. Both products have unlimited note-taking with your Microsoft subscription.
