Alongside its delivery of Snapdragon X-Series chips on laptops, Qualcomm was supposed to also roll out a desktop PC in the form of a developer kit but failed to do so due to quality issues, fortunately GEEKOM is picking up the mantel at CES 2025.
GEEKOM is one of the foremost companies behind Next Unit of Computing (NUC) or Small Form Factor (SFF) and has confirmed it will be among the first to deliver the performance and efficiency of Qualcomm’s new X-series chips in a compact desktop form factor with their new GEEKOM QS1 device.
For now, GEEKCOM has given sparse details on the QS1, but the company does mention that it will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon X1E-80-100 Arm processor paired with Adreno graphics and Hexagon NPU. Yes, many of the benefits of the Snapdragon X-series chips are held in their optimizations and batter efficiencies and that’s typically negated by general power connectivity of a desktop but, desktop users will finally start to receive some of the AI-features Copilot +PCs have been playing around with since mid-year.
In addition to gaining features that help adjust camera settings for video calls, image editing, and real-time voice translation and captioning, GEEKOM is also claiming that even when plugged in, users will still power efficiency in the form of lighter electrical bills connected to desktop usage.
It is smart and fast enough to breeze through all of your daily home and office computing chores, yet energy-efficient enough to significantly cut down your electric bill.

The QS1 may be the first Qualcomm based desktop coming out for users but it’s not the first NPU-led one, and GEEKCOM plans to deliver others powered by AMD Zen 5 and Intel’s Lunar Lake silicon.
At CES 2025, GEEKCOM will also announce its AMD powered A9 Maxis and Intel IT15 that will be paired with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 and Radeon 890M iGPU as well as the Intel Core Ultra Series U9-285H chips, respectively.
Aside from small form factor desktop PCs, GEEKCOM is also heralded for its cost-sensitive product pricing and the company is also set to talk about its $500 dollar line of devices that include the AMD powered A6 that includes a Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon 68M iGPU, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
