AI has proven itself very expensive to provide, leading to disputes over data center buildouts and a slow, steady rise in power consumption and operating costs. However, Google is taking a different approach to try to get you to bite into a Google AI subscription. There have been several changes over the last couple of months, including lowering prices, adding perks, and in some cases, new plans altogether.
Google has dropped its Google AI Plus Plan to $4.99 per month from $7.99 per month and doubled the plan’s cloud storage from 200GB to 400GB. Google AI Plus includes higher usage limits for the more in-depth and deep-thinking models such as Gemini 3.1 Pro and Deep Research. You also get higher Notebook LM limits, with music and video generation.
Google AI Plus also gets Gemini hooked into your inbox and knocks out spam, putting those important messages at the top of your Inbox.
