Google is making AI editing tools available to everyone

Starting May 15th, the Google Magic Editor will be available on Android and iOS to more Google Photos users. These features will help make editing easier using generative AI. Google Photos users can use the Magic Editor for up to ten monthly saves, assuming their devices meet the minimum requirements. After ten saves, you’ll need to upgrade to a Google One package with 2TB or more storage, or you’ll need to be a Pixel user to continue to save edits.

As of May 15th these are the features Google is making available at no cost.

  • Magic Eraser
  • Unblur
  • Sky suggestions
  • Color pop
  • HDR effect for photos & videos
  • Portrait blur
  • Portrait light
    • Add light/Balance light features in the Portrait light tool
  • Cinematic photos
  • Styles in college editor
  • Video effects
