Cameras are a big part of an ecosystem, as we always seek to be aware of what’s going on around our homes and offices, whether we’re there or not, to keep us informed about our surroundings. If you’re a Google Nest camera user, you got some nice quality of life improvements with a recent upgrade.
You can now preview snapshots of what’s happening on your cameras in the camera tile. This means you can see what’s going on with your cameras without having to load the full preview for each camera. Simple gesture swiping has also been added to improve camera navigation. You can switch between the event list and the timeline with just a left or right swipe. You can now dismiss your camera with a sip down or expand your camera view with a swipe up.
All notifications now include a static thumbnail with animated previews of your camera event so you can see what the notification is about. Several under-the-hood adjustments to improve live playback and camera latency, Video history, and quick seek have been added to make it easier to view and scroll through your video history. If you want to help shape the future of Google Nest products you can join the public preview program here.
