Google Pixel 10a hits shelves March 5th

One of my favorite things about the Google Pixel A-Series lineup is how it strives to be accessible to everyone, given its usual lower price point compared to other flagship phones, without sacrificing the features you need most. The Pixel 10a pushes that boundary even further. Priced at $499, it offers advanced AI tools, a best-in-class camera, and a more durable design, plus new colors!

The Pixel 10a introduces a new, smoother design with a camera bump that fits flush with the back of the phone. Google says this is their most sustainable device to date, using more recycled materials than previous models, including recycled cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten. The device’s frame is made of 100 percent recycled aluminum, and the back is made of 81 percent recycled plastic. The fresh color lineup for this year is Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian.

Google Pixel 10a boasts greater durability with its IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating, a 6.3-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i that’s 11 percent brighter than previous models, offering better outdoor visibility. Battery life gets a boost, offering 30 hours on a charge and up to 120 hours with Extreme Battery Saver, backed by seven years of promised software updates.

The Pixel 10a might have the best camera system in a sub-$500 phone. Packing a 48MP main sensor, and a 13MP ultrawide for strong low light performance and Macro Focus closeups. Good hardware doesn’t come without some good software features; some of these camera features are coming to the A series lineup for the first time. Auto Best Take gets the perfect group shot, Camera Coach, a Gemini-powered feature offering help with lighting and photo composition. Ask Photos lets you make changes to your shots by asking or speaking, and Add Me now supports both small and large group photos. A big one for those mixed iPhone and Android families, AirDrop and Quick Share are now compatible.

Of course, in 2026, you can’t have the latest device without the latest AI models baked in. Under the hood, you’ll find that the Pixel 10a runs on the Google Tensor G4 chip, which unlocks a full suite of AI capabilities. Natural conversations with Gemini Live, make natural photos and edits with Nano Banana, and Circle to Search for those instant on-screen answers. and Call Screen and Hold For Me to manage calls as you see fit.

The Pixel 10a launches March 5th for $499 at the Google Store and all major carriers. Matching cases will be available in all four colors as well as a new Pixel Buds 2a in Berry and Fog finishes to match the phone.
