The headline here is reasoning, and the speed at which the reasoning is done. On the ARC AGI-2 benchmark, which tests a model’s ability to solve entirely new logic problems and patterns, Gemini 3.1 scored a 77.1 percent, more than double that of Gemini 3 Pro. These are results you can apply immediately when simple reasoning just isn’t enough. Gemini 3.1 excels at breaking down complex topics into visual explanations, synthesizing large amounts of data into understandable views, and powering the creative workspace by generating web-ready SVG graphics. The SVG models are built with code, which means they stay sharp at any size.
Google is releasing Gemini Pro 3.1 in preview to validate improvements and continue advancing in areas like agentic workflow. Gemini app users with AI Pro or Ultra Subscriptions will get higher usage limits on 3.1. NotebookLM now includes 3.1 Pro exclusively for Pro and Ultra subscribers.
