CES 2025: Lenovo brings SteamOS to the Legion Go S

Lenovo’s first offering in the handheld gaming market, the Legion Go, was a success. With its large 8-inch QHD screen, detachable controllers that could be used as a mouse, and built-in kickstand, Lenovo was able to do something different than the other first-generation handheld devices. It looks like they are setting out to shake things up again. The Lenovo Legion Go S is an 8-inch handheld device that will be powered by Steam OS.

The Lenovo Legion Go S is the first officially licensed handheld powered by SteamOS Valves’ operating system is optimized using cloud saves, so there’s a seamless transition between handheld and PC experiences. Remote Play allows you to stream from PC to device to game comfortably anywhere on your network.

The Legion Go S powered by Steam OS is expected to be available May of 2025, and come in at $499.99
