At CES 2024, Lenovo rolled out several new Yoga laptops with a renewed sense of focus on content creation with features such as studio-grade noise-cancelling microphones, support for faster 3D rendering, and a new suite of AI-powered generating creation.
Lenovo’s consumer-branded Yoga line has always batted an eye at capturing the attention of the mobile content creative user, but its partners in Microsoft and Intel have arguably dropped the ball when it comes to software and silicon support to help the company compete with the industry standard bearer, Apple.
However, in 2024 it looks like chipset manufacturers may have finally crafted a solution to help Lenovo reignite its mobile content creator marketing focus with next gen silicon incorporating dedicated neural processing units (NPUs) to usher in artificially intelligent features to aid in content creation.
Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i (16-inch)
The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i, the flagship consumer laptop destined for 2024 with a new collection of productivity tools onboard in the form of Lenovo Premium Suite powered by the Lenovo AI Core Chip.
Yoga Pro 9i’s will host a similar chassis design to last year’s models such as a 14.3″ x9.98″ x 0.7″ and weighing 4.82lbs. The 2024 Yoga Pro 9i will also serve up PureSight Pro Mini-LED 3.2K screens, six speaker setup with enhanced bass, and similar key travel of 1.5mm.
Other specs for the Pro 9i read very similar to 2023 with support of up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory, up to 1TB PCIe M.2 storage, an 84WHr battery capacity, 5MP webcam with support of Window Hello authentication, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, all sold in either a Tidal Teal or Luna Grey colorway.

The port selection will be identical to last year’s models as well with one Thunderbolt 4 USB 3.2 Gen port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 13, Audio and mic combo jack, a full HDMI 2.0, and one full sized SD 3.0 card reader.
The special sauce for the Yoga Pro 9i will be in the software this year that will bring “tuning solutions powered by machine learning to enhance 3D rendering and film color correction by allocating processing power to optimize performance, battery life and cooling efficiency.”
Much of the heavy lifting for new features will be separated amongst Windows Studio, Intel’s NPUs, and Lenovo’s AI Core Chip, all assisted by NVIDIA GeForce laptop GPUs.

Features such as Yoga Creator Zone will now support Image Training which will now enable content creators to utilize machine learning to train personal content models that can be stored locally on device.
With Image Training, a Lenovo feature that allows users to train a personalized model
Lenovo
that is stored locally on the device. With each image or set of images provided, the Lenovo Yoga Pro laptop can learn and
create images that match the user’s style and preferences. Those preferring cubism will see it consistently incorporated
without needing to describe it while those preferring pop art will not see cubism in their works. With Image Training,
results are a tailored, unique reflection of each user.
Other features of the new Yoga Creator Zone include image generation through text-based prompts, enhanced sound filtering, pre-generative text responses that help build scripts, talking points, and reports, as well as other organizational tools.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 (14-inch)
Similar to the Yoga 9i Pro, the 2-in-1 will be powered by a 14th Gen Intel Evo Edition Core processor with a dedicated NPU and a convertible form factor that incorporates support for its PureSight OLED 2.8K screens and 4K OLED options. As with previous Yoga 2-in-1’s, a four speaker Bowers & Wilkins arrangement will be supported in its 360-degree rotating soundbar hinge and bundled with a magnetically attached cover and slim pen.
As for the design of this year’s model, it will remain the same as in 2023 with a 14-inch chassis that will house 16GB LPDDR5x memory, up to 1TB PCIe SSD, 16:10 with up to 400 nits of brightness panel, 5MP camera with Windows Hello authentication, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, sold in either Cosmic Blue and Luna Grey.

The convertible makeup of the Yoga 9i will weigh around 2.98lbs while still being able to fold 360-degrees to incorporate ‘Tent Mode’, ‘Studio Mode’ and ‘Tablet Mode’.
Port selection on the Yoga 9i is slightly different than on the Pro model with a lack of full HDMI, and full-sized SD Card Reader. Instead of full HDMI and SD Card readers, users will get an additional Thunderbolt 4.0 port, and USB-C slot.
Unfortunately, the Yoga 9i 2-in-1’s will only support up to Intel Arc GPUs which might limit the speed and efficiency of video and image rendering that the Pro lineup will present, but the 75Whr battery on board should last a bit better.
Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in1 (14/16-inch)
Indicative of the naming scheme, the Pro 7 and the Yoga convertible offer a more budget friendly alternative to the flagship Yoga 9 models, albeit with lesser specs onboard.
Instead of configuration options that support up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs, the Yoga Pro 7 models will top out with RTX 4050’s. The standard Yoga Pro 7 variant will support the same 14th Gen Core Ultra 5,7,9 H-series processors while the Yoga convertible version will be an AMD Ryzen 8845HS affair.
The Yoga Pro 7 can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X, up to 1TB PCIe M.2, and three panel options that include a 90Hz and 16:10 aspect OLED screen at 14.5-inches, a 120Hz 16:10 E4 OLED display, and a 14.5 3K 120Hz PureSight Pro IPS panel.

The Yoga Pro 7 will also come with three display options that include all 14.5-inch sizes that range from 2.5K to 3K. Two panel options come with 90Hz refresh rates for the 2.5K resolution between a matte and glass touch tactile feel. The third 3K resolution option for the Yoga Pro 7 will be the only 120Hz panel offered for this variant.
Aside from the processor and panels, many of the standard Pro 7 and Yoga Pro 7 chassis will be remarkably similar weighing 3.2lbs a piece, offered in Tidal Teal and Luna Grey colorways, supporting 4x2W Speakers with Dolby Atmos Audio and ports.
The Yoga Pro 7 will come with Thunderbolt 4 support while the Yoga Pro 7 will only have support for a functional Type-C 4.0 Gen 1 port, but Full HDMI and audio jacks will be standard on both models.
There are non-pro Yoga versions being updated as well with 14th Gen Intel Evo Edition Core U-Series Ultra 7 processors paired with Intel Iris Xe integrated GPU.
Display options for the non-pro Yoga options will support 14 and 16-inch displays with a set 60Hz refresh rates on either LED or LCD panels, weighing between 3.28lbs or 4.50 (for the 16-inch model).
Yoga Slim 7i & Yoga Book 9i
Lenovo also updated its ultra-thin Yoga offering in the Yoga Slim 7i that marks its thinnest Evo powered laptop. The Yoga Slim 7i will support up to Intel’s Core ULT7 155H-series processor and intel Arc GPUs.
The Slim 7i configurations will support up to 32GB of memory, 1TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2of storage, a 14-inch screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate on a WUXGA OLED panel in both matte and glass touch options.
A standard affair of ports will accompany the Slim 7i that includes 2 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, a full HDMI, single USB-A and 3.5mm audio jack.
The most notable Yoga to be offered this year might be the origami-like Yoga Book which is an all-new convertible offered by Lenovo. Instead of a 360-degree folding laptop, Lenovo will offer its multi-part dual screen tablet PC with Intel’s 14th Gen Core i7-U processor paired with Intel’s integrated Iris Xe graphics, up to 32GB of memory, up to 1TB of SSD storage, dual 16:10 13.3-inch OLED panels with Lenovo’s PureSight technology and weighing 2.95lbs.

Despite being an ultra-thin dual display laptop, the Yoga Book 9i delivers three Thunderbolt support USB-C ports with AOU BC 1.2 onboard.
Lenovo Tab M11
Lenovo is coming for Samsung’s Android tablet crown with its Tab M11 offering that sports an 11-inch tablet with a 90Hz refresh rate panel powered by Android 13 with expected updates through Android 15.
Lenovo’s 2024 Android tablet will come equipped with 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB memory options with support for expandable storage up to 1TB.

The ultralight Tab M11 will weigh 1.02lbs with a 7040 mAh battery that Lenovo claims will support up to 10 hours of movie streaming and 15W fast charging.
There will be a quad speaker arrangement that supports Dolby Atmos for audio, an 8MP front and rear camera array and the tablet will come in Luna Grey and Seafoam Green colorways.
Lenovo will lean on MediaTek to provide its Helio G88 Octa-core processor to power the tablet this year.
Lenovo IdeaPad 2024
Lenovo is updating its budget friendly consumer IdeaPad lineup with Intel Core 7 U-Series processors and AMD Ryzen 8845HS chip options to power their 14, 15.3 and 16-inch variants.
All IdeaPads will come with 16:10 displays with WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS panels, as well as FHD webcams, Dolby Audio support and Lunar Grey color options. Some additional variants can be picked up in Cosmic Blue as well.

Most IdeaPad options will be support up to 16GB of memory, up to 1TB of memory, integrated Intel graphics, up to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
All devices are expected to hit shelves April 2024 with the Yoga Pro 9 line starting at $1,449.99, the Yoga Pro 7 starting at $1,349.99, the Yoga Book starting at $1,999.99, the Yoga 7 line up starting at $849.99, the IdeaPads starting at $729.99 and the Tab 11 starting at $179.99.
