Microsoft adds Cloud PC enhancements

Microsoft is making it easier to access your Microsoft Cloud PC from virtually any device. Today at Ignite Microsoft announced the “Windows App” that is available for PCs, Macs, and iPads. While Android was not announced today some Android devices running the app have been spotted in the wild so maybe support is just not ready yet. The one convenient desktop makes it easy to access your Azure instances Cloud PCs and Microsoft Dev boxes. This is now available in public preview.

Windows 365 Cloud PCs also have a new SKU. You can now get a Cloud PC with a GPU. Designed for users who need video editing tools, graphic design, and data analysis. Both NVIDIA and AMD GPU options are available. The following high-powered options are available in select regions for public preview.

  • Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 4 GB vRAM, 512 GB
  • Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 8 vCPU, 56 GB, 12 GB vRAM, 1TB
  • Windows 365 Enterprise GPU 16 vCPU, 110 GB, 16 GB vRAM, 1TB

Windows 365 Cloud PCs are a nice addition to Microsoft’s GPU options. GPU-optimized virtual machines are already available.
