Microsoft and Amazon offer a $300 Xbox experience for $80 during Prime Day

A couple of weeks ago Microsoft and Amazon partnered up to put Xbox Cloud Gaming on Fire TV Sticks and today, during Prime Day deals, the two are offering a combo of Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, a month of Xbox Game Pass, and an Xbox controller for $79USD.

The normal price of an Xbox controller usually runs about $60 alone, and the previous hardware bundle sold for $119.98, but Microsoft and Amazon are offering a similarly full cloud gaming package found on the more expensive Xbox Series X and S consoles for roughly $80.

While it’s only a month of “free” Xbox Cloud Gaming, today’s Xbox Cloud Gaming deal may be enough for parents contemplating an investment in Xbox hardware, gamers constricted by budget, or those looking for a more flexible and portable gaming experience, to make an more informed and financially relevant decision.

As for the details of the deal, interested parties can head over to Amazon.com, the Amazon app on their operating system or read the below:

  • Receive 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate by email with purchase of a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Xbox controller bundle – valid for new Game Pass members only.
  • The only streaming media player with the Xbox app: Stream Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Palworld, and discover hundreds of other high-quality games directly on your Fire TV with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via cloud gaming. No console required.
  • Bundle has everything you need to start game play, including a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and an Xbox Wireless Controller. Plus, get 1 month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – valid for new Game Pass members only.
  • Includes Xbox Wireless Controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and more. Stay on target with the hybrid D-pad, and textured grip on the triggers and bumpers. USB Type-C Port.
  • Fire TV Stick 4K Max has 16GB of storage—double that of Fire TV Stick 4K and our other streaming sticks, for even more apps, games and downloads.
  • Wi-Fi 6E support – Enjoy smoother 4K streaming, even when other devices are connected to your router.
  • Stream more than 1.5 million movies and TV episodes. Watch favorites from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, and more, plus listen to millions of songs. Subscription fees may apply.

Even if you’re already an Xbox console owner, the deal is still a fairly good purchase to expand your Xbox gaming experience beyond your dedicated TV. For anyone traveling this summer, getting the Xbox Cloud Gaming bundle from Amazon is also another way to bring the gaming experience with them for less than the price of most earbuds.
