Microsoft introduces the first Cloud PC for Windows 365

Microsoft first introduced Windows 365 and the Cloud PC in Windows 365. Today, Microsoft is announcing a whole new category of cloud computing: Windows 365 Cloud PCs. These PCs allow users to stream their Windows experience to virtually any device to increase productivity.

Today, Microsoft is introducing Windows 365 Link, a purpose-built Cloud PC for connecting to Windows 365 in seconds. Windows 365 Link PCs help streamline the sign-in process, peripheral computability issues, and security issues when using a shared workspace. The device is lightweight and boots in seconds. Full support for dual 4K monitors is included, as are four USB ports, ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity out of the box.

The device can locally playback video and produce a quality Microsoft Teams experience. Partner solutions such as Webex by Cisco are in the works. Microsoft has also listened to security concerns, with locked-down local storage, no apps and programs stored on the device, and no local admin accounts, making it harder for attackers to compromise the device. The devices are easily managed through Microsoft Endpoints and seamlessly downloads updates as needed.
