Microsoft just supercharged Copilot with new features

Microsoft has updated Copilot on Windows 11 with some new abilities. Rolling out to those who are beta testing Windows 11 preview builds in the Canary and Dev channels, the new features give Copilot a deeper integration with certain Windows settings and cover things like wireless networks, and accessibility.

There are two main areas that Copilot got supercharged in. The first group of things Copilot can now do for you is centered on asking it about a new set of commonly used system settings. You’ll now be able to ask Copilot for battery information, clean storage, empty the recycle bin, toggle battery saver, show startup apps, show your IP address, and ask for system information. As for the accessibility options, you’ll be able to ask Copilot to turn on the narrator, open voice access, use the magnifier, change text size, start live captions, turn on high contrast, and even start voice typing.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft also rolled out Power Automate to Copilot, too. This low-code automation solution now has a plugin experience. You can download Power Automate Desktop to use it and activate the plugin from your Copilot settings to use it With it, it’ll assist you with analyzing Excel files, renaming PDF files, moving documents, and even splitting PDFs.
