Microsoft makes it more expensive if you want to develop on Xbox

Everything with Xbox keeps getting more expensive. We’ve seen two console price hikes this year alone, and Game Pass Ultimate has increased by 50 percent. This has caused friction among gamers and suppliers, leading some to question whether Xbox was even planning to make another console.

If you’re a developer, the developer kit needed to properly test your titles before submitting them for review has also had its price increased. According to The Verge, Xbox developer kits are going up $500 from $1,500 to $2,000. According to Microsoft, this increase is a result of macroeconomic developments —ironically, the same thing they said when console prices increased. To make it even worse, this price increase takes effect right away

All Xbox-supported regions will eventually see the price increase for the developer kit.
