Everything is getting more expensive, and the reason why is just the climate we live in. If you notice when you launch the Office apps launch the Microsoft Office App you are as always presented with a sign in button, to use your Microsoft account and purchase the software if you haven’t

Now you can click the skip button, and your Microsoft Office App will still load without payment, though with limited features. Once you’re in you’ll notice the app is quite usable. You can create documents, you can edit documents as well. You will see ads in your sidebar prompting you to subscribe to the paid version. The other limitation that might be noticeable is that you’ll have to save your documents to your OneDrive account; saving them to your local PC is locked down. For a free option, saving to OneDrive doesn’t seem like a deal breaker.
