Microsoft has recently worked on the Microsoft Store app for Windows 10 and 11. There were issues with all of your installed apps being displayed in the library tab. Now Windows Insiders are looking into what’s next for the Microsoft Store.
Rudy Huyn, Principal Architect at Microsoft announced on X (formally Twitter) today that the newest update will prioritize discovering new apps and games and do a better job of deprioritizing those already on your device.
Exciting Holiday Update: The #MicrosoftStore now prioritizes discovering new applications and games by deprioritizing those you already installed on your device.

We don’t know when the update will deploy to the public release channels.
Assuming you’re in the Windows Insider Program, do the following to get this update.
- Launch the Microsoft Store
- Look for Library in the bottom left corner and then choose Check for Updates.
- The Microsoft Store update should be found, and installed, and the app will restart.
