The Surface lineup of devices got two new members this week the Surface Pro 12-inch and the Surface Laptop 13-inch. They come in just below the entry-level Surface Pro 11 and Surface laptop 7. The pricing difference between the two is very small. The Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 both have an entry price of $999. Microsoft has stopped selling the $999 entry level models to make room for the Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch.
These pricing changes make the newer models look much more appealing, with the Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11 now starting at the $1,199 price point. We’ll have to see if these lower-spec, less expensive models have the appeal for your wallet that Microsoft is hoping for. The Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 7 13-inch are available for preorder now and should be available May 20th.
