Microsoft’s 2023 Ugly Sweater installment should bring wearers a bit of serenity this holiday season with the company’s iconic Windows XP Bliss Wallpaper imagery.
Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has joined in the holiday tradition of celebrating conventionally ‘Ugly Sweaters’ during the holidays by dipping into their own icon imagery to plaster over sweaters for Christmas.
Previous Microsoft Ugly sweaters included the Windows 95 logo, Windows XP logo, an homage to Clippy the Office assistant, MS Paint logo, and a Minesweeper theme.
For 2023 Microsoft is digging back into its Windows XP bag for its Ugly Sweater theme and offering the iconic Bliss Wallpaper as a full body sweater.
The iconic rolling grass hills and cloudy blue skies can now be present at any gather this holiday season.
While there have been some attempts to modernize the famous Windows XP wallpaper by giving it a high definition makeover for denser resolution monitors, the latest Ugly Sweater from Microsoft boast the image in all of its 64-bit glory.
As with previous Microsoft ‘Ugly’ Sweater options, users can head over to the Xbox gear page to purchase one starting today. Once there, customers can learn about Nature Conservancy, a brief history behind the iconic wallpapers capture, play a quick digital game of three card monte, and download desktop and mobile versions of the 22 year old wallpaper.
The Bliss Edition Ugly Sweater is being sold for $69.99 and in wide variety of sizes that include 3XL.
