Microsoft’s latest update for Surface Laptop Studio 2 aims to fix cameras, network, and audio issues

A firmware update for the Surface Laptop Studio 2 was just dropped that brings a changelog detailing fixes for audio failures, unintentional muting, improved Wi-Fi connectivity, docking issues, and cameras presenting black boxes “instead of an image.”

The May 2024 Surface Laptop Studio firmware update comes in at a whopping 1.6GB of size and contains a handful of driver updates that address the specifics below:

  • Addresses a potential issue that could unintentionally mute the device when using a Jabra Headset.
