Microsoft took the wraps off its unimaginative but straightforwardly named Surface Laptop 6 for Business moments ago and commercial customers can look forward to some worthwhile tweaks this time around.
While some might be disappointed by the seemingly identical design shared by the Surface Laptop 6 for Business and every other iteration of Surface Laptops, Microsoft has put a lot of focus into delivering a more powerful PC experience with this device.
The industrial design of the Surface Laptop 6 for Business looks just like any other Surface Laptop sold before, however, Microsoft managed to stuff more RAM into it, added the latest Intel Core Ultra processors with support for dedicated NPUs and improve the screen with an anti-reflective coating.
More specifically, the Surface Laptop 6 for Business comes with support for Intel’s Core Ultra 5 and 7 H-series chips with a dedicated NPU to help process onboard Windows Studios Effects, Live captioning, and AI-powered Copilot experiences.

Intel is claiming that these H-series chips stuffed inside of the Surface Laptop 6 for Business should deliver up to two-times faster performance than the Surface Laptop 5.
Unfortunately, the webcam resolution experience remains unchanged from the previous Surface Laptop release at a decent 1080p, however, coupled with filtering, blur, lighting, and portrait mode adjustments available via Windows Studio Effects, the current resolution maybe more than enough for some customers.

As with previous Surface Laptop’s, Microsoft brings back its patent 3:2 display aspect ratio with 10-point multi touch, 400 nits of max brightness, 1300:1 contrast ratio, and Surface Pen inking support to the Laptop 6 for Business
Customers can outfit their Laptop 6 for Business with up to 64GBs of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of removable solid-state storage.
Microsoft will be offering the Laptop 6 for Business in both 13.5 and 15-inch variants that deliver the same Pixel Sense Display resolutions as before but with 33% improved brightness, claims Microsoft. The Laptop 6 for Business will also have an anti-reflective layer applied to the screen to reduce glare and reflections by up to 50%, especially in fluorescent covered offices.
The overall dimensions remain roughly identical to the Surface Laptop line with the device weighing 3.06lbs for the 13.5-inch one and the 15-inch model at 3.70lbs.

As previously reported, the new Surface Laptop 6 for Business will bring an additional USB-A port and Smart Card Reader to its connectivity selection as well as a newly integrated Copilot key that replaces context menu button from previous Windows keyboards.
Due to their target commercial audiences, the Laptop 6 for Business will only come in anodized aluminum with Platinum or Black colorways.
Lastly, Microsoft is claiming up to 19 hours of “typical device usage” at 46 and 47WH battery capacities.
