Gamers, coin miners, and now the rise of AI have made Nvidia the most valuable public company. Earlier this week, Nvidia found itself in the top spot when it passed both Apple and Microsoft with a market cap of 3.34 trillion dollars ahead of Microsoft’s 3.32 trillion dollars.
In the world of AI, Microsoft is a client of Nvidia, as are most anyone working in the AI space. Nvidia GPUs are used to power AI transactions daily. Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Open AI depend on the company’s products. For those that understand all the stock terminologies, Nvidia recently launched a 10 for 1 stock split so some people could afford to invest.
Cofounder and CEO Jensen Huang isn’t at the top of the wealthiest CEO list yet; he’s still behind popular names like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates.
How far can Nvidia go? Probably as far as AI is willing to take it.
