NVIDIA will soon be making its AI supercomputers in the United States for the first time. It has commissioned more than one million square feet to build and test NVIDIA Blackwell chips in Arizona and its AI supercomputers in Texas.
NVIDIA Blackwell chips have already begun production at TSMC’s chip plant in Arizona, while the supercomputer manufacturing plants are being built in Texas, with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Max production is supposed to ramp up at these facilities in about a year.
Within the next four years, NVIDIA plans to produce half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure in the United States through partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL. These companies have deep partnerships with NVIDIA to grow and expand their footprint. NVIDIA AI supercomputers are a new type of data center designed for the single purpose of processing AI data. Manufacturing these chips in America will create thousands of jobs and trillions of dollars over the coming decades.
The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency
