Power and portability converge in the new ThinkPad Workstations

Today, Lenovo unveiled new mobile workstations designed for productivity, creative, and AI-ready workloads. New Copilot PCs are included in the lineup such as the ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 with AMD and the ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 AMD mobile workstations.

The demand for AI-ready, powerful workstations on the go has never been greater, and Lenovo is here to fill the need. Lenovo’s ThinkPad systems remind us of their commitment to delivering smarter, more adaptive solutions, whether building simulations or collaborating with your team. The latest editions to the Lenovo ThinkPad P series are ready for that challenge.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P14s with AMD is the thinnest and lightest workstation in the Lenovo lineup. Meanwhile, the P16s with AMD combine a premium experience with portability, offering power and flexibility for the most demanding AI workloads on the go. Both Workstations get premium performance from the AMD Ryzen AI PRO 300 series chips and can be configured with the Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370, featuring a 5.1 GHz clock speed and 12 cores. These processes deliver up to 50 NPU TOPS to meet the demand of AI professionals ready for some serious workloads.

The P14s and P16s are ready for the CAD and BIM workloads that architects and educators need in cost-effective solutions. Powered by AMD “Zen 5” technology and AMD RDNA 3.5 built-in graphics, these workstations can handle the most demanding creative workloads without compromising battery life, allowing you to work on the go. These units are topped off with 96GB of RAM to ensure that your applications run and multitask with ease.

Lenovo says the ThinkPad P 14s and 15s are the fastest and most intelligent Copilot+ PCs yet, designed to optimize AI workloads with improved performance and battery life. The unified memory allows resources to be allocated between the GPU and system memory as needed. Up to 75% can be assigned to the GPU for a boost in graphically intensive workloads.

The graphics driver is also ISV certified, ensuring you get the graphical performance you need with increased stability.82 TOPS of AI processing power keep AI assistants running smoothly, streamline the most intensive meetings, and power content creation.

Some of the key hardware enhancements include a 400-nit screen, a new port layout that includes dual Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and the option of a Smart Card reader.

The ThinkPad P14s AMD Gen 6 is available in the United States in May 2025, starting at $1,579, and the ThinkPad 16s AMD is also available in May 2025, starting at $1,619.
