PowerToys 0.78 is now out for download with a few small tweaks

If you’re using PowerToys, it’s time for an update. Version 0.78 is now rolling out. This is a small update, to say the least, but it does bring some new language support, and some tiny changes.

Highlights of this update include new languages like Arabic (Saudi Arabia), Hebrew, Persian, and Ukrainian. Dependencies are also updated, for added security and stability. Thanks to the community, some commonly reported PowerToys Run startup crashes were fixed, too. And some new settings and GPO policies help control the behavior after an upgrade. Some other changes are below, and we remind you that you can head to Microsoft’s GitHub for the full changelog.

  • Fixed an invisible border issue when the border color was set to the black color.
  • Added the AlwayOnTop icon to the base application executable. Thanks @ckirby19!
  • Signed the PowerShell scripts used by the Command Not Found installation process.
  • Fixed an issue causing SVG Thumbnail generation to hang when trying to preview SVG files at the same time.
  • Improved the context menu entry caption.
  • Added more settings to tune shake detection when activating through mouse shake.

As always, there are a few ways to grab this update. A manual download is available from GitHub. Or, you can also download it from the Microsoft Store. You also can update from within the app, too.
