Stardock has officially released Connection Explorer 1.0, a Windows app designed to make your devices’ network activity more visible, easier to understand, and easier to monitor. Every modern PC creates hundreds of connections a day, but tracking them has never been easy. Tracking them usually means diving into cryptic system tools and trying to make sense of data not formatted for easy public consumption. Connection Explorer is here to change that by offering a visual, intuitive way to digest the data.
Version 1.0 builds on the earlier beta with several major upgrades, including an Activity Timeline that provides a historical view of connections, bandwidth usage, and active applications. Application bandwidth monitoring lets you see which app is using the most of your connection and how that changes. Smart alerts and blocking tools let you create rules to block unusual processes and stay alert to their activity. Also, watch processes, see what they are connected to, and review DNS notes and connection history. Brad Sams, General Manager of Stardock, had this to say about the goal of Connection Explorer.
“The modern desktop is constantly connected. Connection Explorer gives users a clear view of what their device is doing and why.”
Connection Explorer is built for Windows 11, priced at $19.99, and is currently available at a 20 percent launch discount or in the Object Desktop Suite.
