Stardock’s new Object Desktop Insider lets you preview Arm versions of Start 11 v2, Fenches 5, and Group 2

The folks at Stardock have just announced Object Desktop Insider. The name might sound familiar because this is a version of Object Desktop that works similarly to Microsoft’s Windows Insider program. It’ll get you early access to new features and applications before they hit the public-facing version of the apps. It’s also a way for Stardock to deliver new features much faster and get a better scope of feedback.

The first Object Desktop Insider release is pretty significant since it brings three applications that support Windows on Arm devices, including Start 11 v2, Fences 5, and Group 2. Stardock says it made this move as it wants to get ahead of the next release of Windows and the new Snapdragon X Elite chips, which seems pretty promising. For now, these Arm-optimized apps will be limited to Object Desktop Insider, but Arm support will be coming to a general release in standalone products in the future. Stardock is also working on a new (yet to be named) application where you’ll get access to AI tools without needing to sign u for each service. It should be coming in the next few months.
