The Epic Games Store launches everywhere for Android, but just in the EU for iOS

In case you’ve missed it, or you’re not entirely familiar with Epic Games, they make the popular Unreal Engine that drives many of the games we love; Fornite also lives under their umbrella. Since January of this year, Epic Games has been looking for ways to shake up the gaming platforms and give gamers better access to its titles through an Epic Games mobile store.

Of course, this was met with many roadblocks because app store owners, Apple and Android, aren’t interested in another store taking gaming and app revenue away. The Digital Markets Act allowed Epic Games to launch in the EU while Apple still blocks other regions. Apple hasn’t made any part of this easy; Epic went so far as to accuse Apple of canceling their developer account over the planned store launch.

The installation procedures for Android and iOS are not easy, requiring many steps and perhaps trying to scare you away. Epic Games has posted the videos below to make the installation easier.

The Epic Games Store currently has Rocket League Sidwswipe, Fall Guys for mobile, and, of course, Epic staple Fortnite. Epic hopes to open the store to other games and publishers, but no timeline has been given.
