We all want our sports everywhere, right? If you want to keep track of your favorite NFL team, you won’t be doing that on Bluekky, at least for now. The Verge reports that the NFL has told the New England Patriots to shut down their Bluesky account. It’s not an approved social media platform for the NFL yet.
Teams can post on X, which has a partnership with the NFL. There are also content deals with Threads and other Meta-owned platforms and a deal with Reddit. Bluesky currently has 29 million users and is growing steadily. Is it enough to get the attention of the NFL? We’ll have to wait and see if Bluesky is ready to pony up the cash for a deal.
