Xbox has been changing the gaming landscape over the past few months. It’s the latest blockbuster announcement was the Xbox Ally lineup of handheld consoles at Summer Games Fest 2025. Those devices, as well as every Xbox to date, have been powered by AMD silicon, and that doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon.
Today, Microsoft announced a multi-year agreement with AMD, pledging to use its silicon across its portfolio of devices, including a brief mention of the next generation of Xbox consoles. Also mentioned in the future of AI experiences is Copilot for Gaming, which will be powered by AMD as well.
The 1:17 video, which you can view below, reinforces the message that Xbox aims to provide gamers with an immersive experience powered by AI, one that’s not tied to a specific gaming store and remains compatible with your existing Xbox library.
