Xbox App on mobile gets some big updates

Xbox is announcing some of the most requested updates to the Xbox Mobile App. Soon, you will be able to buy games and content, join Game Pass, and redeem your perks directly from the mobile app. Be ready to play games right on release day by recording right from the app.

The updates will come to both iOS and Android users soon. More good news, if you have saved a form of payment in your account, you can buy titles straight from the content pages in just a few clicks. A couple of Xbox console-centric features for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, you’ll be able to stream select games that you own straight to your devices. This does include streaming to Xbox consoles, the Amazon Fire TV Stick, Meta Quest, and PCs. You can play right away without having to wait for the download.

You’ll also be able to remote play on more devices. If a game is installed on your console, you can go to xbox.com/remoteplay on any device with a web browser. Remote Play, however, won’t be available in the Xbox App. Remote play will soon extend to Samung Smart TVs, Fire Sticks, and Meta Quest headsets. Unifying the remote play experience allows Xbox to be available on more devices and platforms.
