Backward Compatibility is now available on PC, making it possible to play Xbox classics across Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and handhelds. For the first time ever, these early-generation titles can be played natively on PC.

These titles are available for purchase on PC and included with all Game Pass plans. If you already own a digital license to these games, it carries over to PC, allowing you to enjoy Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Microsoft isn’t just porting these games to PC; they’re getting the modern treatment with 4K upscaling, Vsync, full-screen and windowed mode, enhanced anti-aliasing, Anistropic filtering, and customizable languages and audio. More improvements will come, including achievements. The minimum requirements are below to get you started.
