Xbox cloud gaming has arrived on some Amazon Firesticks

As promised a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft has delivered on the partnership to bring Xbox Cloud gaming to the Amazon Firestick. Starting today, Fire TV 4K and 4K Max device owners can download the Xbox App. We’ve seen the Cloud Gaming service come to other third-party devices, such as the Logitech G Cloud, and the sideloading of the Xbox App on the Nvidia Shield Device. Now, for the first time, Cloud Gaming is available on a portable, inexpensive device that millions already have.

The Fire Stick option is available at Amazon for $39.99, while the 4K Max comes at $59.99. Microsoft is running a one-month special on Xbox Gamepass Ultimate for $14.99 instead of the usual $16.99. Microsoft is making good on its play anywhere promise with the Amazon partnership. Could we see the app officially available on other devices soon? A streaming device and a controller are less expensive than a console, and Microsoft gets to cash in on that subscription revenue, a win for both sides.
