Xbox Game Pass Standard is now available

After a short beta period last month, Xbox Game Pass Standard is now available as another gaming subscription offering. Xbox Game Pass Standard is a few bucks cheaper than the top-tier plan, Game Pass Ultimate. The Standard subscription costs $14.99/month. While it does get you the basics, such as online access and some gaming discounts, that can be as high as 50 percent. You miss out on Cloud Gaming, EA Play, and PC Game Pass.

Game Pass Standard does sit between the other subscription options. Game Pass Core is at the top, an entry-level subscription. We are getting you that low monthly price, still some fantastic deals on games, and a Game Pass library of about 25 games to choose from. The top level is Game Pass Ultimate for the gamer who wants eventing, including Cloud Gaming, EA Play, PC Game Pass, and access to certain titles on release day. For example, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will appear on Game Pass this year and will be available on day one for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

With Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft offers a wide variety of options, from the casual budget-conscious gamer to the all-in gamer.
