Xbox is bringing a new controller for disabled gamers this Fall.

Microsoft has always done a great job ensuring that titles are accessible to all, even those with various disabilities. Microsoft is highlighting Global Accessibility Awareness Day to recognize gamers with disabilities. There are 450 million disabled gamers worldwide.

Accessibility is always an ongoing journey, and Microsoft is committed to making gaming both welcoming and inclusive. Microsoft provides developers with tools such as the Gaming for Everyone Product Inclusion Framework and provides accessibility support at its events, such as the Xbox Games Showcase. Ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Microsoft is announcing its newest adaptive controller, the Proteus Controller, which is available now for preorder. It’s an innovative controller with snap-and-play parts that connect together, allowing players to build the controller that works for them right out of the box. The controller works for both Xbox and PC. You can preorder the controller here.

There are also accessibility updates for Candy Crush Soda Saga, Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, and Diablo IV. In June, you can also earn the new Xbox Ambassador Accessibility Badge for your Xbox Profile. There are also new support articles on support.xbox.com categorized for those with disabilities.
