It’s been a rocky road for Xbox players over the last six months. The price of Game Pass has nearly doubled if you’re on the ultimate tier, console sales haven’t been great, and Xbox head Phil Spencer announced his retirement. Xbox fans have been left wondering if anyone is listening, and we’ve got some signs today that the Xbox development wheel is indeed spinning.
One of the biggest updates rolling out today to Xbox Insiders is the ability to disable Quick Resume on a per-game basis. This doesn’t remove Quick Resume; it just gives gamers control over games where resuming from a suspended state causes gameplay issues. You can access it via More Options and slide over to Quick Resume or go through Manage Games and Addons.
Custom user colors also enhance personalization. Instead of being forced to choose your system colors from defaults, it allows sliders so users can dial in their desired colors. Xbox also saves your custom colors, so if you switch consoles, your scheme follows you. Custom colors will be rolling out as part of the April update
Today’s update is a solid signal that Xbox is listening to gamers and keeping communication lines open with these quality-of-life improvements. Look for the wider release of these features next month.
