YouTube adds multiplayer to YouTube Playables

Google continues to inch its way back into the gaming space. They’ve been doing it under the YouTube platform since September 2023 using the branding YouTube Playables. The games have been available to everyone on all platforms with over one hundred titles.

So far all of the titles have been single player but Google wants to enhance the experience by adding multiplayer to the mix, allowing players to interact with each other. For now the testing is limited and only focused on two titles Lude Club and Magic Tiles 3. Both titles will be available across desktop and mobile apps.

We’re beginning to test a new multiplayer feature for a few select games on YouTube Playables. Multiplayer on Playables lets you play games in real-time with other users. We’re starting our tests with two games: Ludo Club and Magic Tiles 3 on desktop and mobile devices. We’re just getting started testing out new features for YouTube Playables with more to come in the future
